              Tempo: 95

Prešli roky minulé
chlieb bol vzácny, časy zlé
ale bolo niečo, čo dnes zaniká
Viera ako denný hosť
každý večer pobožnosť
v kruhu rodinnom o Pánu sa spieva

  Či spievaš bas alebo tenor
či spievaš sóla a či len zbor
  spievaj, veď to duši pomáha
  Aj keď často chýbal kľud
  taký kedysi bol ľud
skromne, s nadšením o Bohu spievaval
  Žiadna bieda, žiadne skúšky
  nemôžu nás z cesty zviesť
  Či spievaš bas alebo tenor
či spievaš sóla a či len zbor
  spievaj rád, Kráľ prichádza

Svet sa zmenil, a my s ním
čas je pánom najväčším
chce vziať aj spoločnú chvíľu večernú
ku krátkemu stíšeniu pred Bohom
keď oslavnú pieseň zaspievam
veď nádej mám večnú
