              Strain, pribeag si calator
Sunt eu pe-acest pamânt;
Calauzit de-un singur dor,
S-ajung în cerul sfânt

Împaratia Ta,
O, Doamne, o doresc,
Si cât as vrea s-ajung în ea
Acolo sa traiesc !

Chiar drumul greu si plin cu spini
Se va sfârsi-n curând
Si-n tara Ta, plina de crini
M-oi odihni-n curând.

Cu toti acei ce Te-au urmat
Prin lumea de dureri;
Îti vom cânta neîncetat,
Frumoase, dulci cântari.

Dar fa sa vina mai curând
Împaratia Ta,
Caci ard de dor tot asteptând,
Si crucea-i tot mai grea

Ce frumuseti de nedescris
Acolo-n veci vor fi.
Caci, Tu Isuse, drag si scump,
Tu, vei împarati
