              Ó, Istenünk, eléd letérdelünk,
könyörgünk hozzád, téged kér szívünk:
Áldd meg a népünk, áldd meg nemzetünk!

A nagy világon e kivűl sehol sincs helyünk,
s mi egymástól is megtagadtuk itt, hogy boldogok legyünk.

// Szállj, dalom, szállj, gyönge kismadár,
  határokon túl a Hargitáig szállj,
  bátorítsd a csüggedőt, vigasztald a szenvedőt! //
Krisztus soha el nem hagyja őt.

Ó, Istenünk, eléd letérdelünk,
könyörgünk hozzád, téged kér szívünk:
Áldd meg a népünk, áldd meg nemzetünk!

Mint oldott kévét, hányszor szórta szét
szörnyű vihar, lesújtott ránk.
Ó, mennyi nemzet fia néz ma gyűlölködve ránk!
