Ten slávny deň, ten divný čas,
keď Spasiteľ po prvý raz
priblížil sa do srdca brán,
sťa slnka lúč tmu rozohnal.

  Slávny deň, divný deň,
už zmizol hriech sťa strašný sen.
Od chvíle tej Boh so mnou je,
  až k večnosti ma povedie.
  Slávny deň, divný deň,
už zmizol hriech sťa strašný sen.

Ten slávny deň, Boh zmierený,
plač pokánia je skončený.
Ustúpil strach, ustúpil bôľ,
sĺz zbavený je život môj.

Ten slávny deň a svetlá púť!
Som v objatí tak mocných rúk.
Mňa naveky už vlastní Pán,
slasť, istotu do srdca vlial.
