              Tenang dan sabarlah, wahai jiwaku.
Tahan derita, jangan mengeluh.
Serahkan sajalah pada Tuhanmu
segala duka yang menimpamu.
Allah setia, tak mengecewakan
yang di naunganNya ingin berteduh.

Tenang dan sabarlah, wahai jiwaku.
Biarkan Tuhan yang memimpinmu,
sebab di tangan Allah masa lampau,
dikendalikan masa depanmu.
Gelombang dahsyat tak kan menerpamu
kar'na di bawah kuasa Tuhanmu.

Tenang dan sabarlah, wahai jiwaku;
bila berpulang sobat terdekat
dan 'kau dirundung oleh kesedihan,
Tuhan mengangkat duka yang berat.
Kasih karunia akan kau terima
dari Tuhanmu, Sumber Alhayat.

Tenang dan sabarlah, wahai jiwaku.
Sebentar lagi saat tibalah
bahwa engkau berjumpa dengan Dia
yang menghiburmu di masa lelah.
Di sanalah engkau 'kan memujiNya,
menyanyi riang s'lama-lamanya.
