              Tuhannet nyt
kiitosvirttä laulavat,
Herran ylistystä
riemuin veisaavat.
Jeesus armon
antoi heille,
korven teille eksyneille.
Siksi kiitosvirsi
Herralle nyt soi.

  Kiitos, kiitos
  Jeesuksen!
  Soi kannel sydämen.
  Veljet, siskot,
  ryhdytään
  nyt Jeesustamme
  kiittämään.

Meidät kuolemasta
siirsi elämään,
taivaan kirjaan nimen
piirsi verellään.
Käyköön myötä
taikka vastaan,
taivaan Isä
auttaa lastaan.
Siksi kiitosvirsi
Herralle nyt soi.
