              1. V mysli rád zalietam ta, kde môj drahý Pán
na kríži sa obetoval.
Prehorký kalich pil, aby ma vykúpil,
on sám za mňa život svoj dal.

  Ref.: Srdce vďačnosťou prekypuje,
  za môj hriech zomrel Boží Syn sám;
  jeho kríž pre mňa zárukou je,
  že v ňom záchrancu verného mám.

2. Krvou kríž skropený nie je docenený,
svet neprijal najväčší Dar.
Mnohí ho zavrhli, spásou opovrhli,
Pán pre nich nič neznamená.

3. Pán ma neopustí, hoc aj kríž dopustí,
na to sa vždy spoľahnúť smiem.
Pred sebou cieľ svoj zrieť, s odvahou kráčať vpred,
svoj kríž niesť vždy statočne chcem.

4. Kristova krv tiekla, spasenie priniesla,
svet záchranu iba v nej má.
V spásnu moc veriť smiem, pre mňa Pán trpel,
viem, on raz večný život mi dá.
