              Vainiot jo vaalenevat,
elon aika on jo nyt,
myrskytuulet uhkailevat,
tähkä täysin kypsynyt.

  Lähetä nyt, Herra kallis,
  elomiehet korjaamaan
  taivaan aittaan vilja valmis,
  kaikki talteen aikanaan.

Valmis vilja maahan taipuu,
elomiestä tarvitaan.
"Työhön, työhön!" kutsu kaikuu.
"Rientäkää jo toimimaan!"
