              Vapaana on
synnistä ja maasta
joukko tää,
mi taivaltaa
tietä uutta, kotiin
kulkeissansa
riemuiten nyt
laulaa saa:

  Vapaana on
  Herran kansa,
  synnin kahle
  paina ei!
  Pois on tuskat,
  kuolon ansa,
  Jeesus meidät
  voittoon vei!

Vapaaksi nyt
synnistä ja maasta
ristin kautta
kulkee tie.
Tieto, oppi, lahjat
eivät auta.
Voittoon veren
voima vie.

Vapaana mä
synnistä ja maasta
katson rantaan
kaukaiseen.
Sinne täältä
kaipaan lakkaamatta
rauhaan, lepoon
taivaiseen.

Vapaaksi jos
synnistä ja maasta
tahdot päästä
sinäkin,
ristille vie kaikki
synnin saasta,
katso puoleen
Mestarin.
