              Viacej ako dobrý priateľ,
viacej ako život sám
si mi, Spasiteľu drahý,
aké šťastie, že Ťa mám!

S Tebou len, s Tebou len,
s Tebou len, s Tebou len,
  celou cestou k sláve neba
  túžim kráčať s Tebou len!

Posmech, pohanenie, bolesť
znášať bez odporu chcem,
vďačne vzdám sa svetskej slávy,
keď len s Tebou chodiť smiem.

Veď ma údoliami, tieňom,
búrkou života ma nes
do tých príbytkov, čo chystáš,
kde už vierou bývam dnes!
