Volt egy világ, amit még sosem láttam,
szép új világ, álmomban arra jártam,
ott, a négy folyó földjén,
ó, igen, a négy folyó földjén.

Rég elveszett, de lesz még arany korszak,
fénylő egek, napsütés, akárhol csak jársz,
a négy folyó földjén,
ó, igen, a négy folyó földjén.

  Egy félsziget, álomkép,
mint egy zöld liget, olyan szép.

  Füves legelők, csendes hűs vizek,
erdők és mezők, a szemnek sem hiszed.
  Méz illata száll, aranyló vidék,
gyümölcsöt kínál, és mindig kék az ég
  az Édenkert földjén.
