              Vår sjelelege nu er nær,
den store Herre Jesus.
Hans nåderøst gjenlyder her,
å gi deg nu til Jesus.

  Kor:
  Kjæreste navn i jordens dal,
  kjæreste navn i him'lens sal.
  Alltid sangen lyde skal:
  Jesus, kjære Jesus.

Se, gjelden ble betalt for deg,
på Golgata av Jesus.
Til him'len Han deg åpnet vei,
å gi deg nu til Jesus.

Ja, Jesu blod meg bringer trøst,
jeg har min fred i Jesus.
Det leger sjelens mange brøst,
jeg gleder meg i Jesus.

Når en gang vi i him'lens hall,
får se den Herre Jesus.
Da synger vi blant frelstes tall:
Høylovet være Jesus.
