Áll a kereszt fenn az égen,
ragyog ránk a sötétségben.
Előttünk jár. Ő vezérli lépteink.
Rajta függött, Ó az Élet!
Teljesült a szent ígéret:
vére által üdvözülhetünk.

Ím az ember lenn a földön,
szabadulna már a bűnből.
Lelke békét, nyugalmat nem találhat.
Egyedül csak Jézus által,
tövisekkel, Golgotával
érhetünk majd Hozzá az égbe fel.

// Áll a kereszt ég és föld között,
  dicsősége mindenek fölött.
  Ha rátekintesz, megérted,
mit jelent a Végtelen Szeretet! //

Ott a kereszt, benn a szívben,
hogyha félek, tőle kérdem:
hogyan kell egészen szeretnem?
Azt dalolja: Nézz az égre,
a szeretetnek dicsősége
rád ragyog mindörökre!
