              Waktu malam yang sepi terdengar berita;
bala sorga memberi Kabar Sukacita.
Hai gembala Efrata, mari ikutlah serta
dengan suaramu dan serulingmu dan gendang,
genderang, bertepuk menari: Jurus'lamat lahir!

Bintang fajar t'lah terbit bersemarak mulia,
menyinari yang sedih, menghiburkan dunia.
Segenap manusia, mari bergembiralah
Debgan suaramu dan kolintangmu, berdentang,
berdenting, bertepuk menari: Jurus'lamat lahir!
