Yer üzündə çox qiymətli bir söz var,
Bu sözü tanıyır cavan, qoca da.
Çətin yolumuza nur, işıq saçır,
Sülh, sevinc gətirən bu söz - bağışla.
Kim daim mərhəmət görmək istəyir,
İxlaskar bir həyat ümidindədir,
Sakit, həlim ruhda o deməlidir
Hikmət, sevgi dolu sözü - bağışla.

  Rəbb bizi sevərək bağışladı ki,
  Xilasa, həyata biz malik olaq.
  Biz də əfv edərək bir-birimizi
Deyək şəfa verən sözü - bağışla.

Bəzən çətin olur bu sözü demək,
Qürur, təkəbbürlük qoymur insanı.
Bəzən unuduruq çarmıxda Rəbbin
Ataya dediyi sözü - bağışla.
Çoxmu döyülmüşük, söyülmüşük biz,
Əzab-əziyyətlər çoxmu çəkmişik?
Bəs niyə bu qədər çətindir bizə
Kövrək yalvarışla demək bağışla?

  Bağışlamasanız bilin sizə də
  Bağışlanmaz, deyir Rəbbimiz İsa.
Hər kəsi əfv edən, hər şeyə dözən
  Böyük məhəbbətlə deyək - bağışla.
