Za noci hluboké,kdy spal kraj celý,
na horách betlémskýchpastýři bděli.
U nohou ovečky,tmu kolem sebe,
o čem as dumali,hledíce v nebe?

Nebojte se, radujte se,Kristus se dnes narodil!
Pán Bůh poslal Syna svého,aby člověk spasen byl.
„Sláva Bohu na výsostech!"sborem pějí andělé
  a pastýři do Betlémapospíchají vesele.

„Pastýři nebeský,"šeptali tiše,
„skloň se k nám v milostiz nebeské říše!
Zhoj naše bolesti,ztiš světa boje,
uveď nás, ztracené,v království svoje!"
