Čas ako rieka vôkol mňa plynie,
tváre sa menia, krása tiež hynie.
Závratne rýchlo náhli sa svet,
stálosti nikde niet.
Nauč ma chodiť vierou,
dívať sa k večnosti,
nauč ma ľuďom vyznávať,
čím si mi, Pane, Ty!

Chýba tu láska, stráca sa nádej,
súcit a právo málokto nájde.
Svieť, svetlo sveta, zažni aj mňa,
vstúp tam, kde vládne tma!
Nauč ma chodiť vierou,
dívať sa k večnosti,
nauč ma iným rozdávať
to, čo mi dávaš Ty!

Práce je veľa, rúk zasa málo.
Naplň ma, Pane, vernosťou stálou!
Chvíle, čo dáš mi, využiť chcem,
kým zhasne spásy deň.
Nauč ma chodiť vierou,
dívať sa k večnosti,
nauč ma konať pokorne
to, čo si praješ Ty!
