              Šla svetom láska nebeská,
ktorá sa telom stala,
a družina ju anjelská
oslavou privítala.

  Tá láska svätá, najvyššia,
  čo hriechy naše sňala,
  si Ty, ó drahý Ježiši,
  buď česť Ti, večná chvála!

Šla svetom láska vznešená a bola poslom z neba,
zohriala srdcia studené, objíma mňa i teba.

Šla svetom láska slúžiaca až k obeti na kríži,
kto vierou s ňou je spokojný, smrť tomu neublíži.

Šla svetom láska víťazná nad hriechom, zlobou sveta,
šťastný, kto poznal lásku tú, to betlehemské Dieťa.
