                // Adj nekem, adj nekem,
  jóságos Jézusom, adj nekem! //

Téged megértő értelmet,
Téged átérző érzelmet,
Hozzád siető jó lelket!

Irántad buzgó bensőséget,
Rád bukkanó bölcsességet,
Téged felismerő világosságot!

Érted égő szeretetet,
Benned élő szívet,
Téged dicsérő tetteket!

A Te szavaidra halló fület,
a Te szépségedet szemlélő szemet,
a Te fölségedet magasztaló nyelvet!
