              Tempo 130 (3/4)

1. Byť blízko Teba, Pane môj
tú vrúcnu túžbu mám
veď s hriechom zvádzam márny boj
keď zápasím len sám

2. Keď lákal by ma sveta klam
do svojich osídiel
daj síl mi čeliť nástrahám
zrieť večnej spásy cieľ

3. Kiež Duch Tvoj, Darca pokoja
sám býva, vládne v nás
nech človek vzdá sa odboja
a na Tvoj dbá len hlas

4. Ty dávaš, Pane, víťazstvo
mier duši strápenej
príď k nám už tvoje kráľovstvo
a zbav svet moci zlej
