              1. Chci, Bože, vzdát Ti chválu, čest
a srdce své Ti v oběť nést;
však především v den sobotní
kéž Ti má píseň mile zní.

Ref.: Já v sobotní chci škole být,
  od Ježíše se učit žít,
já v sobotní chci škole být,
  od Ježíše se učit žít.

2. Pomoz mi žákem dobrým být,
bych požehnání Tvé směl vzít.
Dej, Pane, ať Ti sloužím rád,
nauč mne bližní milovat.

3. Ty v duši mou svůj pokoj dej,
srdce i sluch mi otvírej,
ať slova Tvého slyším hlas,
poznávám vzácný Boží čas.

4. Ať nejen dnes, v den sobotní,
mi Tvoje slovo mile zní,
však celý život, Pane můj,
pro službu svou mne posvěcuj.

Ref.: Já v sobotní chci škole být,
  od Ježíše se učit žít,
já v sobotní chci škole být,
  od Ježíše se učit žít.
