              1. Deň sobotný opäť zavítal k nám,
z lásky ho človeku dal Pán Boh sám,
Keď v šiestich dňoch svoje dielo dokončil
a deň siedmy požehnal, navždy posvätil.

Ref.: Zachovaj sobotný deň svätý môj,
na to vždy pamätaj ty i dom tvoj.
  Statočne, poctivo pracuj šesť dní,
  na svätosť soboty nezabudni.

2. Deň sobotný radostne uvítaj,
v ňom všedných záľub sa ochotne vzdaj,
Pán hojným pokojom obdarí ťa rád,
Duchom svojím on chce ťa stále sprevádzať.

3. Dá verným odmenu Pán láskavý,
on večné príbytky im pripraví.
Už teraz má radosť v srdci človek ten,
ktorý v bázni zachová svätý Boží deň.
