              Dime la historia de Cristo,
Cuéntamela al corazón;
Dime, de amor infinito,
Es la más dulce canción.
Dime de cómo cantaron
Ángeles cuando nació,
// "Paz a la tierra ha llegado,
Gloria en los cielos a Dios". //

Penas sufría, trabajos,
Y solo en su tentación,
En el desierto ayunaba,
Era del mal vencedor;
Siendo "Varón de dolores",
Nuestros dolores sufrió;
// Le desecharon los hombres
Y desdeñaron su amor. //

En la vil cruz le clavaron,
¡Oh, qué terrible dolor!
Pero en amor admirable
Hizo la gran redención.
En el oscuro sepulcro
Sale invencible su amor.
// Hoy en su trono de gloria,
Reina en amor salvador. //
