              Ein neues Jahr hast Du
für uns gemacht,
eine neue Tür für uns aufgemacht.
Ein neues Jahr
hast Du für diese Stadt gemacht,
eine Tür aus Gold und Licht
für uns aufgemacht.

Wir loben und wir preisen Dich,
  wir erheben und anbeten Dich.
Heil ist uns durch Dich widerfahr'n. (2x)

Denn Deine Hände, denn Deine Hände
  berühren uns're Stadt.
