              Grata nueva Dios proclama
Hoy al mundo pecador;
Dulce nueva, revelada
En la cruz del Salvador.

  Grata nueva, dulce nueva,
  De la boca del Señor;
  Oíd gozosos, cielo y tierra:
  ¡Dios es luz! ¡Dios es amor!

Ciego el hombre y obcecado
En las sendas del error,
desconoce y desconfía
De ese Dios, el Dios de amor.

Con ofrendas, obras vanas,
Sacrificios sin valor,
Piensa el hombre acongojado
Propiciar su Creador.

¡Luz divina! resplandece,
Muestra al triste pecador
Que ne la cruz de Cristo juntas
La justicia y el amor.

Habla tú a los corazones,
Muéstrate Dios Salvador,
Y sin fin proclamaremos:
¡Dios es luz! ¡Dios es amor!
