              Hľa, pútnik z púšte sveta
sa náhli k domovu,
je v diaľke jeho méta:
dôjsť v náruč Kristovu.

Kto okúsil len kvapku
z tej čaše večnosti,
ten zanechá svet zmätku
a jeho márnosti.

Ó, šťastný pútnik zeme,
čo Krista miloval.
Tu, hľa, len telo zrieme,
však ducha Pán si vzal.
