Hogy mondjam el, ha itt vagy velem,
oly szép az életem?
Fölzeng egy dal, a szívemben szól,
s azt kérem, maradj velem.

Minden mi szép, minden mi jó,
azt tőled kaptam én,
és bármi lesz még, legyen tiéd
ha egyszer majd véget ér.

Nincs nappalom, nincs éjjelem soha már, soha már,
Ha nincs dalom, nincs életem, a szívem téged vár, téged vár!

Hadd mondjam el, hadd írjam még
az életem dallamát,
míg bírja a szív, reményre hív
s arra kér, hogy adjam át.
