Hvor stort i denne siste tid,
å eie løftet i Guds Ord.
At snart vår Jesus komme skal,
og som Konge Han
regjere skal på jord.

  Kor: Han kommer snart,
  Han kommer meget snart.
  Med glede vi Hans
  snare gjenkomst venter.
  Blir det en morgen,
  midnatt eller dag,
vi vet at Jesus kommer snart.

Se tegn i himmel og på jord,
det vitner om Hans komme klart.
Og i Guds faste sanne Ord,
det fortelles at Han
kommer meget snart.

De døde som i Kristus er,
en talløs skare skal oppstå.
Forvandlet se sin Frelser kjær,
som de modig inntil
døden trodde på.

Og vi som lever skal bli med,
vi rykkes opp i skyers hær.
Å underfulle salighet,
tenk å alltid være hos
vår Jesus kjær.
