              1. Hänpä yksin ristinpuulla
autuus on ja elämä.
Enemmän kuin kellään muulla
rakkautta on Hänellä.
Ei niin hyvää, lempeää koskaan
maailmassa nää.
Idän, pohjan, lännen maista
turhaan etsin Hänen laista.

2. Elon vaivat tahdon kantaa
käyden Hänen polkujaan.
Kristus autuuden voi
antaa eikä mahti, lahjat maan.
Muu on kaikki pettävää,
usvan lailla häviää.
Rakkautensa aina pysyy;
sitä sieluni vain kysyy.

3. Hänpä yksin ristinpuulla
toivoni on ainoisin.
Kukaan ei saa koskaan luulla,
että siitä luopuisin.
Missä löydän ystävän
uhrautuvan niin kuin Hän?
Armon sanan antaa
kuulla Hän, ken riippuu ristinpuulla.
