              K večeru sa chýli čas,
Bohu nech znie vďaky hlas
za deň, ktorý k dielu dal,
za noc, ktorú prichystal
nám k spánku On.

  Hospodine,
  Pane presvätý náš!
  Na zemi aj na nebi
  každý tvor Ťa velebí,
  ó, Bože náš!

Život nám si daroval,
z lásky nám ho zachoval.
Vrúcne k Tebe voláme,
múdrosti si žiadame,
ó, čuj náš hlas!

Rastie už tieň večerný,
nás si k sebe pozdvihni,
ruka Tvoja láskavá
nech nás mocne zastáva,
ó, Bože náš!

Keď sa skončí žitia púť,
daj nám, Bože, precitnúť
tam, kde svieti večný deň,
nedesí už smrti tieň,
kde večný jas.
