              Králi můj, Tebe hledám,
v tichosti o slovu Tvém rozjímám.
Jako jelen dychtí po čistých vodách,
po Tobě, po vodě Tvé
žízeň mám.

Proč se tak rmoutíš, duše má.
Proč ve mně úzkostně sténáš, duše má?
  Na Boha čekej, duše má.
Opět jen Jemu, své spáse, chválu vzdám.

Kéž světlo Tvé, Bože, vidím,
když nevím, kudy mám jít, veď mě dál.
Až před příbytek Tvůj, kde mě čekáš,
tam opět radost a mír nalézám.
