              Kuoleman tieltä
sä kurjia auta,
syntiset johdata
Jeesuksen luo!
Vie sana riemuinen,
ilmoita heille:
Jeesus nyt kaikille
armonsa suo!

  Kuoleman tieltä
  sä eksyneet auta,
  syntiset johdata
  Jeesuksen luo!

Kaukana kulkevaa
Hän yhä oottaa,
Hän sylin lempeän
myös avajaa.
Kiiruhda, innosta,
muistuta heitä:
syntiset Herralta
ain avun saa.

Synteihin sortuneen
kätkemät tunteet
vain Isän rakkaus
voi herättää.
Kun sana lempeä
koskevi hellin,
murtunut kielikin
voi helähtää.
