              Lihatlah Anak Insan berjubahkan kain ungu.
Di kepalaNya dikenakan mahkota berduri.
Menetes peluh dan darah, mengucur membasah bumi
serasa lutut tak mampu menopang tubuh lagi.

Bertubi cambuk, tombak melayang menghujam tubuh.
Bertaburan ludah hinaan dan tawa ejekan.
Betapa bunda Maria tersungkur menahan duka;
semua kekasih Yesus menangis tersedu.

Dengan megah 'Kau maju t'rus!
Sekarang Yesus, Anak Daud,
mulailah kemenanganMu
melawan dosa serta maut.

Dengan megah 'Kau maju t'rus!
Perang terakhir menjelang.
Sang Bapa pada tahtaNya,
menanti 'Kau akan menang.

Dengan megah 'Kau maju t'rus!
Tertunduklah kepalaMu.
Di salib, melalui maut,
'Kau jadi Raja, Tuhanku.
