              Mai bună ca o jertfă-i ascultarea
Ce are faptele duhovniceşti;
Din ea revarsă binecuvântarea,
Comori de har din slăvile cereşti.

  // Pe-altarul sfânt, slăvirea să sporească,
  A Duhului Sfânt roadă să rodeşti,
  Iar fumul jertfei sfinte răspândească
  Miros plăcut, în viaţa ce-o trăieşti. //

Altarul inimii, curat păstrează-l
Căci el e templul Duhului cel Sfânt!
Nu-L întrista în viaţă, ci ascultă-L,
Ca să primeşti putere şi avânt.

Când fi-vei semănat în putrezire,
Tu, cel ce ai avut al păcii Duh,
Te vei schimba, să zbori spre nemurire,
Să-L întâlneşti pe Domnul în văzduh!...
