Mraky temné nad hlavou keď visia,
povedz to, brat môj, pred Spasiteľom,
Božia láska z dohľadu ti zmizla?
O tom tiež rozprávaj s Ním.

  Hovor o všetkom so Spasiteľom,
  priateľ je najvernejší!
Čokoľvek ťa v dennej púti stihne,
o tom hneď rozprávaj s Ním.

Zlostník ak chce v duši tvojej vládnuť,
povedz to, brat môj, pred Spasiteľom.
Strácaš silu? Duch tvoj začne slabnúť?
O tom tiež rozprávaj s Ním.

Na srdce snáď tiene smútku padli?
Povedz to, brat môj, pred Spasiteľom.
Alebo si spokojný a šťastný?
O tom tiež rozprávaj s Ním.
