Na nebesiach nad Betlemom jasná hviezda žiarila,
celé mesto betlehemské, celú zem osvietila.

  „Sláva Bohu na výsostiach,
  sláva Bohu na nebi,
  pokoj ľuďom tu na zemi"
  zaspievali anjeli.

Na nebesiach nad Betlemom zbor anjelov sa zjavil,
pastierom i všetkým ľuďom radostnú zvesť oznámil.

Tam v Betleme čistá panna Ježiša porodila,
do jasličiek Ho vložila táto matka spanilá.

Preto aj my pokľaknime pred malého Ježiša,
dajme Mu dnes srdcia svoje; daruje nám nebesá.
„Sláva Bohu na výsostiach, sláva Bohu na nebi, pokoj ľuďom tu na zemi" zaspievali anjeli.
