Noc v širý už padá kraj
a slunce v mraků dál
zapadlo zvečera.
[: A hvězdy hází třpyt,
že šťastni můžem být
vypráví důvěra.:]

Ztihc svět a vše usíná,
nad námi rozpíná
Pán ruku laskavou.
[:Ta Jeho pravice
hvězd vede tisíce
a nám je ochranou.:]

A když teď my půjdem spát,
zas ráno dej nám vstát
v své lásce nejvyšší.
[: Buď stále s námi sám,
nás buduj ve svůj chrám,
ó, Pane Ježíši.:]
