              On Herra suuri,
riemukielin kaikuu.
Nyt kaiken luodun
kiitos soi.
Te joukot maan,
kanssanne
laulu raikuu:
On Herra suuri,
viisas, oi.

On Herra suuri.
Taivaankappaleille
soi ajan,
antoi rajansa.
Ja päälle maan
Hän syntiin
langenneille
soi autuudeksi
Poikansa.

On Herra suuri,
aamunkoitto pauhaa.
Sen kuu ja tähdet
toistaa voi.
Ja Herran kunniaa
myös linnut laulaa
ja vuorten hongat
huminoi.
