              Reviens à ton Père,
Enfant égaré !
Dis-Lui ta misère,
Dis-Lui : « j'ai péché ».
Toujours Il pardonne
A qui se repent.
Pour toi l'heure sonne,
C'est toi qu'il attend.

Reviens à ton Père,
Ses biens sont pour toi.
Entends sa prière,
Reviens sans effroi !
Sa main s'est tendue
Vers toi maintenant ;
Sa voix bien connue
Dit : « Viens, mon enfant ! »

Reviens à ton Père,
Ici tu péris.
Son eau désaltère :
Reviens à tout prix !
Oh ! crois à sa grâce ;
Sa paix est pour toi.
Chez Lui, prends ta place,
Deviens fils du Roi !

Reviens à ton Père ;
Reviens, c'est le port ;
Reviens, et préfère
La vie à la mort.
Vois-tu, son cœur saigne
Devant ton malheur.
Viens donc, qu'Il t'étreigne
Enfin sur son cœur !
