              Séme tú por alta Peña,
Donde pueda recurrir
De continuo en las luchas
Y alegrías del vivir.

Mi esperanza está cifrada
Sólo en ti, ¡oh Jehová!;
De la mano del impío
Tú mi vida guardarás.

Son tus alas un refugio
Que la vida hace feliz,
Desde niño las he visto
Extendidas sobre mí.

Cuando la vejez hiciera
Declinar toda ilusión,
Más hermosa la esperanza
Brillará en mi corazón.

Yo vendré a tus valentías
Y memoria de ti haré;
De tu gracia y tu justicia,
De tu gloria y tu poder.

Cantarán mis pobres labios
Y mi lengua lo dirá:
¡Eres fiel! Dichoso el hombre
Que en ti sabe confiar.
