              Shepherds come, telling all
Christ is born today
In the town, David's town
Christ is born to-day

  Christ the Lord in Bethlehem
Lying on a bed of hay
  All rejoice, all rejoice
  Christ is born today

Joseph stands, by her side
Mary full of joy
Angels high, in the sky
Sing their songs of praise

Tell the news, everywhere
Tell the whole wide world
Christ our Lord, came to save
Takes our sin a-way
