              Sur les collines éternelles,
J'ai vu blanchir l'aube du jour.
Seraient-ce les gages fidèles,
Seigneur, de ton prochain retour ?

Frères, levons les yeux en haut,
Veillons, car Jésus vient bientôt !

Il vient pour briser notre chaîne,
Tarir la source de nos pleurs,
Et, dans sa grâce souveraine,
Apaiser toutes nos douleurs.

Frères, levons les yeux en haut,
Veillons, car Jésus vient bientôt !

Il vient ! Du ciel, notre patrie,
Il nous apporte les trésors ;
D'un mot, ce Prince de la vie
Va rendre la vie à nos morts.

Frères, levons les yeux en haut,
Veillons, car Jésus vient bientôt !

Il vient, Il vient, courage, frères !
Hâtons ce beau jour de nos vœux
Et, délivrés de nos misères,
Prenons notre essor vers les cieux !

Frères, levons les yeux en haut,
Veillons, car Jésus vient bientôt !
