              Tmy šumia, šumia krídlami,
deň zhasol, hviezdy nad nami.
Chlad tiahne, mdlobou tŕpne hruď.
Ó Otče z neba, so mnou buď.

Tys´ mi požehnal toho dňa,
hoc duša lásky nehodná,
zrak privri snom, čo nemučí,
nech spím jak v Tvojom náručí!

A ráno, ak Ti vôľa tá,
svit zjasá mi jak zo zlata,
čo treba, dá mi Tvoja moc,
tak usnem smelo;
dobrú noc!
