              V smutnej chvíli,
drahý Pane,
s bôľom v srdci
ticho rozjímame
o nevinnom utrpení,
ktorým sme pre večnosť
zachránení.

V ťažkých mukách
hlavu skláňaš
a na kríži v bôli
dokonávaš potupený,
zavrhnutý znášaš
za nás údel smrti krutý.

Z lásky nevinný umieraš,
krvou všetky
naše viny zmývaš;
Tvoje sväté utrpenie,
vymohlo nám
život spasenie.

Vďaka, Kriste,
Tvoje rany
otvorili
do večnosti brány,
Tvojím svätým
umučením
stali sme sa
ľudom vykúpeným.
