              Veríme v Boha jedného
a Otca všemohúceho,
celý svet spravujúceho.

Veríme i v Syna Jeho,
Spasiteľa jediného,
Duchom Svätým počatého.

Z čistej Panny narodený,
pod Pilátom umučený,
umrel a bol pochovaný.

Potom do pekiel zostúpil,
vstal z mŕtvych, hriešnych vykúpil,
na nebesá slávne vstúpil.

Sedí na Božej pravici
a zo svojej božskej moci
múdro riadi všetky veci.

V moci a sláve zas príde,
všetkých ľudí súdiť bude
na poslednom Božom súde.

V Ducha Svätého veríme,
svätú cirkev vyznávame,
spoločenstvo svätých máme,

tak aj hriechov odpustenie,
a tela z mŕtvych vzkriesenie,
v nebi večné oslávenie.
