Zas nový den mne k práci zve,
nuž radostně chci jít
a s Tebou, Bože síly mé,
své dílo započít.

Mne povzbuď, abych pilný byl
a rád měl práci svou,
jí lidem vůkol posloužil
a slávu šířil Tvou.

Vím, daremná má lopota,
mým snahám hrozí zmar,
když láska Tvá a dobrota
mi nedá nutný zdar.

Však co znám Tvojí lásky div
a Tobě náležím,
zde ptát se mohu, zisku chtiv,
„co z práce vytěžím?"

Nač všechen světa zisk je mi,
když dlužníkem jsem Tvým,
a nikdy ničím na zemi
Ti dluh svůj nesplatím?
