Er du et lem på Jesu Kristi legem?
Du i Ham og Han i deg?
Da lys og skjønn
din fremtid er for evig,
om du står og rokkes ei.

  Kor:
Håpets glede bærer deg i striden,
du oppreist er med Jesus Krist.
  Hans kraft er din,
og du med den kan seire,
stå fullendt med Ham til sist.

Vi er Hans legems lemmer,
Han er hodet,
viljen Hans er vår i alt.
Ja, skjønt harmonisk
virker da det hele,
oppfylt blir alt som er talt.

Hans legem har ei gunst
i denne verden,
skatten er i lerkar skjult.
Men en dag skal
dets herlighet få stråle,
nå er det forhatt, forfulgt.

Hans lemmer skal
i tusen år få herske,
siden på den nye jord.
Men nå er kamper,
lidelser og trengsler,
vandringen i Jesu spor.
