              Käyn tällaisena
turviisi,
Sä tiedät
kaikki syntini.
Vaan luottaen
Sun armoosi
käyn luoksesi,
oi Karitsa.

Käyn tällaisena
tahroissain
ja luotan veren
voiman vain.
Se taakan poistaa
tunnoltain
Sun luonasi,
oi Karitsa.

Käyn tällaisena,
peljäten
ja ristiriidoin,
epäillen.
Vaan kutsuasi
totellen
käyn luoksesi,
oi Karitsa.

Käyn tällaisena,
köyhänä.
Nyt armoasi
etsin mä
ja tiedän:
Avun annat Sä
Sun luonasi,
oi Karitsa.
