              L'Eternel seul est ma lumière,
Ma délivrance et mon appui :
Qu'aurais-je à craindre sur la terre
Puisque ma force est toute en Lui,
Est toute en Lui ?

Son bras puissant, à ma requête,
Un prompt secours me prêtera,
Et, dans le fort de la tempête,
Sur un rocher m'élèvera,
M'élèvera.

Réponds-moi donc ; j'attends ta grâce :
Seigneur, exauce ton enfant !
Tu me dis de chercher ta face,
Et je la cherche, ô Dieu vivant !
Ô Dieu vivant !

Mes yeux verront la délivrance
Que mon Sauveur m'accordera ;
Aussi mon cœur plein d'assurance,
En l'attendant, s'affermira,
S'affermira.
