              Sol M

Nu lăsa să treacă vremea
Trece însăşi viaţa ta!
Se apropie şi timpul,
Socoteală când vei da.
Trece ziua cea de azi,
Mai în jos cu-o treaptă cazi,
Sau cu una te ridici,
Căci nu poţi sta tot aici.

  Te ridici, sau cobori?
  Te întreb de două ori:
  „Te ridici sau te cobori?"

Oare bani-ţi sunt căderea,
De nu poţi să te ridici?
Caci sunt multi cu mare-avere,
Dar cu sfletele mici.
Dacă vrei să fii bogat,
Să ai sufletul curat!
Bogăţii să nu le zici
Celor ce rămân aici!

Nu căuta mărirea lumii,
Nu căuta să fii 'nălţat,
Căci Domnul Isus ne spune:
„Totul va fi spulberat!"
Dumnezeu a lepădat
Ce la oameni e-nălţat;
Umilinţa de-o păzeşti,
Află că pe-un bun drum eşti.
